  2. Payment Schedule:

    • Early-Early Bird Rate: Payment of $797 (+ GST) must be completed in full by February 15, 2025.

    • Early Bird Rate: Payment of $897 (+ GST) must be completed in full by April 30, 2025.

Payment Plan Options

Participants may choose to pay the full amount upfront or opt for a payment plan. By "payment completed," we mean that the total camp fee has been paid in full. Please contact us directly to arrange a payment schedule. Keep in mind that the customized payment schedule needs to fit in with the deadlines stipulated in the payment terms above.

Notes:

  • Payments can be made via e-transfer, credit card, or PayPal.

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring payments are made on time according to their chosen plan.

Deposit, Payment, and Cancellation Policy.

  1. Cancellations by Participant:

    • Before April 30, 2025: A full refund (minus the $250 deposit) will be provided.

    • May 1 to May 30, 2025: A 50% refund of the total camp cost will be provided (minus the $250 deposit).

    • After May 30, 2025: No refunds will be issued.

  2. Transfer of Spot: Participants may transfer their reservation to another individual up until July 15, 2025, with prior written notice to the organizers. Transfers are subject to a $50 administrative fee.

  3. Cancellations by Organizer: In the unlikely event that the camp is canceled by Shift Adventure & Wellness, all payments (including the deposit) will be fully refunded. The organizers are not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, such as transportation or accommodations outside of the camp.

Force Majeure

In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other events beyond the control of the organizers, the camp may be rescheduled or canceled. Refunds will be provided at the discretion of the organizers, minus any non-recoverable costs.

Additional Considerations

  • Meal Plan Costs: Participants are responsible for covering the cost of the meal plan (• Full meal plan: $222 + GST, with an additional $4/meal for special dietary requirements). Refunds for meal plans follow the same timeline as the camp fees.

  • Travel Costs: Participants are responsible for their own transportation, ferry fees, and other travel expenses. These costs are not refundable by the organizers.

    • Transportation Option Participants have the option to book transport from the ferry to the camp for $40 (+ GST) one-way.

Shift Adventure and Wellness strongly recommends all booked guests to purchase travel insurance for their trip that includes coverage for cancellations and trip interruptions and medical expenses and evacuations in Canada. Most insurance policies need to be purchased within a short time of booking

Additional details to consider...

  • Please do not book before first reading and understanding our Deposit, Payment, and Cancellation Policy.

  • We encourage all our guests to be fully vaccinated. While outdoor activities like our kayak tours tend to have low risk of illness transmission, we are thoughtful of other people we may come into contact with during our tours, many of which depart from, or visit, remote communities with limited health care resources and at-risk populations. Please consider the people you may encounter during your travels and we encourage all our guests to be fully vaccinated before joining us.

  • If you book and cannot join your tour for any reason, including vaccination status or travel restrictions, our regular Deposit, Payment, and Cancellation Policy applies.

  • You fully assume the risk concerning entry requirements into British Columbia and Canada.

  • For the latest information on travel to Canada including the updated federal requirements and restrictions, please visit the Government of Canada’s Travel and Tourism page.

  • Accommodation Requirements: All participants must bring their own bedding and any personal necessities for the camp. No refunds will be provided for failure to adhere to this requirement.

  • Private Wellness Sessions: Should participants book private sessions with practitioners during the camp, all transactions are to occur directly between the participant and the practitioner. The camp takes no responsibility for such arrangements.
